Fruit Pizza w/ Whip Cream & Yogurt Topping

This fruit pizza recipe is a cherished Fourth of July tradition in my family. My mom, sisters and I have been making it for years, and I love how the light, fluffy whipped cream blends perfectly with the creamy vanilla yogurt topping. It’s fresh, nostalgic, and always reminds me of warm summer days filled with family, laughter, and sweet memories.

Who do I make this for?

This recipe is for my mom and sisters… to honor the nostalgia of our fourth of July celebrations growing up!

Ingredients

Cookie Base

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon cream or milk

  • 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 tsp vanilla

Topping

  • 1 pint whipping cream

  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 8 oz. vanilla yogurt

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

  • 1-pint strawberries, sliced

  • 1-pint blueberries

  • 1-pint raspberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Lightly grease or line a 9x13-inch baking sheet or 16 inch pizza pan.

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the eggs, cream (or milk), and vanilla extract, beating until smooth.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.

  6. Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking sheet, spreading it all the way to the edges.

  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the center is set. Remove from oven and cool completely.

  8. While the cookie base cools, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.

  9. Gently fold the vanilla yogurt and vanilla extract into the whipped cream until smooth and combined.

  10. Spread the creamy topping evenly over the cooled cookie base.

  11. Arrange the strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries on top as desired—create patterns, stripes, or a festive flag design!

  12. Chill the fruit pizza for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
